
Germain Amponsah is an associate at Barfield, McCain P.A. who joined the firm in 2024. Prior to joining Barfield, McCain P.A., Germain was a criminal defense attorney for about 3 years; working for the Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel in West Palm Beach, FL, and thereafter, working as a private attorney as well. Additionally, Germain also had a brief stint working as an insurance defense litigation associate as well.
Germain was born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island, and received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a Business Administration Minor from the University of Rhode Island. Germain went on to obtain his J.D. from Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, FL thereafter.
While in law school, Germain had the excellent opportunity to participate in multiple legal clinics to embrace experiential learning. Germain was part of the Naturalization clinic, where he was given the opportunity to give back to the community of Jacksonville, FL and participate in pro bono events geared towards providing citizenship to local individuals. Additionally, he was part of the Veterans Benefits clinic, geared towards providing legal advocacy to local veterans who sought benefits for their service to our country. Germain also participated in a Wills, Trusts and Estates clinic as well as an Interviewing & Counseling clinic as well.
Germain is dedicated towards providing quality legal advocacy for his clients. In his free time, Germain enjoys spending time with family, watching sports, working out, listening to music, cooking, binge-watching shows, and reading.
